Privacy Policy

This page sets out how The Baked Studio (us) uses and protects your info when you are using the site.

What we are responsible for

Privacy means a lot to us. We are internet users, just like you, so we like to protect your personal info just like we would like to be protected. If we do ever ask for info about you by which you can be identified, it will only be in accordance with this policy.

Just like the website as a whole, the policy could be updated so keep an eye on it for the latest position. If you are not happy with the policy or wish to know more, please get in touch. This policy is reviewed annually in January of any given year. This policy is effective from June 2022.

We don’t actually collect a lot of information. We collect non-identifiable info (as described in the Terms and Conditions) for analytical purposes such as improving our site. The only time we collect more is when you fill out the contact form. By filling out this form and submitting it, you are authorising us to hold that data and use it for supporting you and your enquiry. You can ask us to delete that information at any time.

We never share your details or information. It’s your information, not ours. If someone (other than you) wants information about you, we will simply inform you that someone is asking after you. It is up to you if you follow up with that. The only time we might share it without asking you first is if we are required to do so by law. We would tell you if that (unlikely) event happened unless, by law, we were not allowed to.

We might use your info to improve our services and products and so may get in touch from time to time, but only if this is important for supporting you and your requirements (e.g. market research). Inclusion on a newsletter list is completely up to you and you can opt-out at any time. We like to keep our clients up to date with industry news, offers and products we think you would benefit from (things that might improve your cakes!). These emails may include links to 3rd party sites, for instance, if there is a promotion we feel you may benefit from. As such we suggest you stay opted “in”, but just let us know if you want to opt “out”. You can change your mind and opt-in or out at any time, even if you previously opted in or out.

We have put in place suitable procedures, systems and processes to ensure that any information we collect on you is completely private and secure.

We perform due diligence on products, companies or services we use to create any material, websites, products or services that might use your personal information and will involve you at all times in this process. We will seek to only use companies that sign up to comparable or higher privacy standards and will inform you where this can not be met.

What we are not responsible for

We are not responsible for your data if you have shared it on other sites, even if we linked you to that site. We do not control other sites and it is the owner of those sites to provide suitable privacy control. We can not be liable for any confidentiality breaches experienced by other sites, which are not covered by this privacy statement, as a result. Use precaution and review any privacy statements on other websites before committing to sending your personal sensitive information through those sites.

What to do when something goes wrong

You can ask for any or all the information we hold about you at any time, in line with the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable for this service. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to Alex Falconer, 1 Stonesdale, Houghton Le Spring, England, DH4 7QF.

If you think there has been a data breach caused by negligence on our part, please contact us immediately at info@thebakedstudio.com. We will work with you, and any other required parties, to resolve any issues as a matter of urgency.
